Congratulations to Senior Attorney Leslie Richter, Farmington Hills, on her recent trial success. This was a trucking case where liability was jointly admitted with the co-defendants. Plaintiff alleged a mild traumatic brain injury, torn ACL with surgery, disc herniations, and the development of anxiety and depression. His lowest demand was $900,000 and he asked for $1,000,000 at trial. The day before trial began Plaintiff was offered $275,000 which he rejected. The jury deliberated for one hour and returned a total verdict of $25,000. However Plaintiff will not see any money as he will be hit with sanctions for rejecting the case evaluation of $175,000.
