Michael Dean is an attorney in our Grand Rapids, Michigan location, where he focuses his practice on civil defense, representing insurance carriers, their insureds, and third-party administrators. His practice includes the defense of automobile accident claims, personal injury protection (PIP) matters, malpractice suits, and a range of other civil litigation.

Prior to joining the firm, Michael practiced at a law firm where he handled contract disputes and subrogation matters, developing a strong foundation in complex civil litigation and claims analysis.

Before entering the legal profession. Michael built a distinguished career in medicine. He is a former medical doctor with a focus on robotic and laparoscopic surgery and served as a clinical assistant professor at Michigan State University. His background also includes service as a secondary school teacher with the Peace Crops in Ghana. This multidisciplinary experience provides him with a unique perspective in cases involving medical issues, technical evidence, and expert analysis.

Michael earned his Juris Doctor magna cum laude. During law school, he participated in mock trail and moot court competitions and was a member of the Intellectual Property Law Society.
