Courtney R. Tarrance is an Associate Attorney in our Indianapolis office with experience in courtroom advocacy, legal research, trial preparation, and legal writing. Prior to joining Kopka, Courtney served as a Marion County Prosecutor, where she handled complex matters involving constitutional and evidentiary issues, conducted 10+ bench trials, and drafted persuasive legal briefs.
Courtney earned her undergraduate degree from Purdue University. She received her Juris Doctor from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, where she was an Indiana ICLEO Fellow, REACH Mentor and Teaching Assistant, Associate Member of the Indiana International & Comparative Law Review, a member of the Black Law Students Association, and part of the executive team for the IndyBar Law Student Division. She also served as a judicial intern for the Court of Appeals of Indiana under the Honorable Judge Leanna Weissmann, contributing to judicial opinions in criminal and contract law matters, including a published opinion.
Courtney is a member of the Marion County Bar Association and National Bar Association, and brings a strategic, detail-driven approach to advocacy and client service.
