Sheri Bradtke McNeil has practiced law since 1996 and joined Kopka Pinkus Dolin in 1997, focusing her practice on complex litigation in both federal and state courts. Her cases involve diverse areas of law including employment disputes, transportation, aviation, municipal defense, premises, professional and general tort liability, as well as construction and fire litigation. Sheri has had great success defending numerous national auto/transportation insurance companies in cases involving both personal and commercial policies.
Often representing municipalities and major corporations in all facets of civil liability, Sheri has defended numerous governmental/school entities, police departments and police officers in cases involving municipal issues, Title VII claims, false arrest, use of force, and pursuits. Her trial successes feature million dollar demand cases against well-known corporations. Sheri holds the distinction of having defended several of the firm’s largest matters to date.
Sheri has also defended serious cases brought against medical care facilities, airline entities, vendors and contractors. She has a special affection for appellate advocacy and first-party fraud claims involving fire, homeowners, and auto policies. In addition to representing clients in court, she has been honored to have had the opportunity to speak on topics of interest at seminars or for clients looking to be trained in various aspects of civil rights, litigation and employment law.
Sheri has also served as a public defender on a part-time basis for nearly 15 years. Additionally, she spent one year as the Director of Research and Development at DRI – The Voice of the Defense Bar, where she regularly attended national legal seminars and authored updates on developing case law of significance to the civil defense bar.
Among her accomplishments, Sheri was named the 2016 Attorney of the Year by the Public Risk Group of Tokio Marine HCC. Most recently, she was unanimously approved for membership in the prestigious Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel (FDCC).
