Congratulations to Attorney Gregory Glen on Recent Trial Success! Third Chicago Victory this YEAR!

Senior Attorney Gregory Glen recently obtained a favorable verdict in the Circuit Court of Cook County after a six day jury trial. This complicated rear-end automobile liability case involved multiple defendants in two separate accidents. Both accidents caused only minor damage to the plaintiff’s vehicle. In the incident involving our insured, the defendant turned a corner striking a minivan, which pushed the minivan into the plaintiff’s vehicle. Plaintiff claimed a right shoulder labrum tear that requires future surgery, as well as soft tissue neck and shoulder injuries. The plaintiff’s treatment consisted of physical therapy, pain management, and an orthopedic specialist. The medical expenses, including future surgery, totaled approximately $51,000. The plaintiff claimed that prior to the accidents she was into physical fitness and due to her injuries can no longer swim or lift weights. At closing, Plaintiff’s counsel asked the jury for an award of $160,000. The Defense stood behind the evidence of minimal damage to the bumper of the plaintiff’s vehicle, as well as to the actions of the plaintiff. The driver of the minivan had a baby in the backseat, and upon impact the plaintiff did not exit her vehicle to inquire about the baby’s well-being, nor did she call for medical assistance. Instead, she called work to inform them that she would be late. After two hours of deliberation, the jury returned with a verdict of not guilty.
