Litigation Paralegal

Kopka Pinkus Dolin is seeking a full-time, certified Paralegal to join our established insurance defense practice in our Chicago, Illinois office.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for a heavy civil litigation desk.
  • Managing the litigation process for each of your files.
  • Drafting legal documents such as motions and discovery.
  • Working with medical records (summaries and chronologies).
  • Scheduling Independent Medical Examinations and expert depositions.
  • Assisting with trial preparation. Including but not limited to: trial notebooks, exhibits, jury instructions, and motions in limine.
  • Assisting with deposition preparation.

Skills/Knowledge/Education:

  • Knowledge of Outlook and Expert Case, or other law practice management software.
  • Minimum of five years’ insurance defense experience.
  • Ability to stay organized while multi-tasking.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
