Litigation Paralegal
Kopka Law is seeking a Paralegal to join our established insurance defense practice in our Chicago, Illinois office.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for a heavy civil litigation desk.
- Managing the litigation process for each of your files.
- Drafting legal documents such as motions and discovery.
- Working with medical records (summaries and chronologies).
- Scheduling Independent Medical Examinations and expert depositions.
- Assisting with trial preparation. Including but not limited to: trial notebooks, exhibits, jury instructions, and motions in limine.
- Assisting with deposition preparation.
Skills/Knowledge/Education:
- Knowledge of Outlook and Filevine, or other law practice management software.
- Minimum of five years’ insurance defense experience.
- Ability to stay organized while multi-tasking.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

- 8 hour shift
