Sara Peele joined the firm’s Farmington Hills office and concentrates her practice on defending insurance companies, self-insured corporations, and businesses in a variety of civil litigation matters. Her experience includes first-party automobile No-Fault (PIP) claims, third-party automobile negligence actions, insurance coverage disputes, Michigan Assigned Claims Plan (MACP) servicing insurer defense, and subrogation matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Sara spent five years representing insurers in first-party No-Fault litigation, developing extensive experience handling claims from inception through resolution and working closely with carriers to provide strategic and efficient defense representation. She has experience handling matters through all phases of litigation, from case evaluation and discovery through trial preparation and resolution. Sara served as second chair in two successful defense verdicts, including a complete dismissal on behalf of a MACP servicing insurer and a no-cause verdict in a No-Fault matter.

In addition to her litigation experience, Sara has a background in international human rights and cultural heritage law. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law and is admitted to practice in Michigan.

A guiding principle in Sara’s professional and personal life comes from her grandfather, who often said there are two things everyone should always keep in their pocket because they are free and will take them far in life: “Please” and “Thank you.” This advice continues to shape her approach to her clients, colleagues, and the practice of law. Outside of work, Sara enjoys traveling, movies, and sports, and spending time with her husband and young children, whether reading with them, playing outside, exploring new places, or creating lasting family memories.
