Elizabeth J. Cornejo began her legal career at Kopka Law as an apprentice, where she gained valuable experience conducting research, drafting Motions for Summary Judgements and strategy reports, discovery, and attending depositions and mediations. Now as an associate attorney, she focuses her practice on defending clients in automobile accident cases, construction defect matters, and premises liability claims. She has also assisted in a variety of civil cases, including civil rights violations, coverage disputes, and contract issues, giving her a broad perspective and strong foundation for her defense practice.
Beyond her legal work, Elizabeth is fluent in Spanish and enjoys learning new languages, traveling, and is an active leader in her community. She volunteers at the local food pantry and has held a number of leadership positions in several organizations, including serving as Secretary of Prospanica and The American Constitution Society. In law school, Elizabeth was honored as the Student Leader of the Year due to her work with the Hispanic Law Society. She also traveled to Vienna to represent her school in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot competition, the largest arbitration moot competition in the world. Her dedication to service and advocacy reflects her commitment to both her clients and her community.
