Jason M. Beavers studied Political Science at the University of Detroit Mercy before earning his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Detroit Mercy Law School. During his first year of Law School, Jason was awarded a “Pass with Distinction” for his oral advocacy skills demonstrated in the G. Mennen Williams Moot Court Competition. Jason would later go on to join the Moot Court team in his second year of Law School, in addition to serving as the Vice President of the 10 C.O.R.E. Law Society which served to provide housing literacy and access to resources for the underprivileged.

During law school, Jason clerked at a small personal injury firm in Pleasant Ridge, which specialized in first party PIP cases. Jason also participated in the Housing Law Clinic where he assisted tenants in arrearage and inhabitability matters. Following law school, Jason worked on a multitude of personal injury cases at a renowned firm, which included auto negligence, medical malpractice, premises liability, civil rights, and others.

Jason has wanted to be a lawyer for as long as he can remember. As a native Detroiter, Jason learned that to fight the status quo, he would have to immerse himself in the field of law. In his legal career, Jason hopes to create greater access to justice in all areas of law for those less fortunate. In his spare time, Jason enjoys all things automotive, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with family and friends.
