Edward C. Harcourt concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate and commercial litigation, specializing in the representation of clients in the trucking, transportation and logistics industries. He is experienced in handling a wide variety of insurance defense matters including automobile, dram shop, environmental liability, complex insurance fraud, premises liability, retail and restaurant, product liability and wrongful death.

Serving two years in state government, Ed first held a position as a staff attorney in the Indiana Gaming Commission’s Legal Division and later as a staff attorney at in the Indiana Department of Natural Resources’ Office of Legal Counsel. In those roles, he handled a variety of duties, including representing the agencies before Administrative Law Judges, contract review and drafting and rule promulgation. He also previously held positions in a private litigation firm and with Marion Superior Court 12’s Environmental Division.

Ed earned his J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, where he completed a certificate program in Environmental and Natural resources law. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Ball State University, where he was a member of Lambda Epsilon Chi, a national Political Science honor society.
