CHERYL L. GARCIA
Cheryl L. Garcia has over 10 years of experience practicing law. She focuses her practice in civil litigation, defending clients in premises liability, automobile and construction litigation.
Cheryl has defended numerous asbestos related toxic tort claims on behalf of automobile manufacturers, served as legal counsel for school districts, represented small business owners regarding employment matters and practiced intellectual property law, with an emphasis on prosecuting and protecting domestic and international trademarks and copyrights. She has obtained many successful summary judgment motions on automobile cases.
Throughout Cheryl’s time at Kopka Pinkus Dolin, she has worked with partner, Joel Groenewold, representing large commercial clients including office buildings, malls, commercial landlords, construction companies, national retail chains, and national automobile auction houses.

Cheryl was successful in a recent insurance defense case wherein the property owner was sued by the condominium association for damages to a rental unit due to smoke from a fire. Cheryl counseled her client, who was extremely apprehensive before having to appear in a hearing before the board, and helped put her mind at ease. The case was completely dismissed with zero liability.
