Carol J. Sangster focuses her practice in worker’s compensation, representing employers, insurance companies, and third party administrators throughout the state of Indiana. She has been practicing in the area of worker’s compensation for the last thirteen years. Prior to joining Kopka Pinkus Dolin, Carol practiced at her own firm in Highland, Indiana. There she represented injured workers and employers. Having represented parties on both sides of a claim, Carol brings a unique perspective to her practice and provides a well-rounded approach to the way each claim is handled.

Throughout her thirteen year career, Carol has had much success in front of the Indiana Worker’s Compensation Board’s Single Hearing Members, as well as on appellate review by the Full Board. She has also been successful at the Indiana Court of Appeals level. Her dedication to see a claim through to its conclusion—at any level—is evident.

Carol has a great deal of experience in civil litigation, traffic violations, commercial and personal collections, and various family law matters. Further, she is extremely proficient in handling Social Security Disability claims.

Carol has been a member of the Indiana State Bar Association’s Citizenship Committee since the beginning of her legal career. Several times a year, she represents the ISBA by participating in Naturalization Ceremonies that take place at the Federal Courthouse in Hammond, Indiana. She has participated in the naturalization of hundreds of new American citizens.

Carol also enjoys volunteering with the Indiana Judges and Lawyers Assistance Program (JLAP), because it enables her to give back to the fellow members of the Bar by providing guidance and counseling. For the past twelve years, she has supervised many attorneys, from new attorneys starting out to experienced attorneys dealing with an issue such as addiction or stress/anxiety.
